Slick Easel Paints

We couldn't believe how gorgeous this project come out! It's perfect for outside and a nice hot summer day!

How to make slick easel paints with kids:
Materials Needed: Bio Color or food coloring in various shades, slick finger painting paper, Karo Syrup, easel or fence to mount paper, a drying rack, small washing bin with soap and a towel (for washing), a grassy area.

Process: Mount slick paper on fence or easel in a grassy area away from the house or building (sugar may attract mini guests). Mix various cups with Karo Syrup and coloring. Let the children freely paint and drip paint on paper.
The art will be sticky but it will dry quickly on a warm day. Allow the children to wash off any syrup on their hands.

The Finished Product: The art comes out very slick, flexible and shiny. the colors overlap and blend. When they are completely dry they will not be the least bit tacky.

I loved finger painting as little kid. All kids do. It's messy, but fun.

When I was in Kindergarten we only did easel painting and coloring with crayons. I was thrilled to do that! Once I learned there is more than one way to paint it really started something great!
