Friendship

"A true friend reaches for your
hand and touches your heart."
~Attributed to Heather Pryor

I really appreciate the friendships I have formed though out the years. They has taught me to be a better wife, sister, friend and teacher. I'm don't know what I would do if I didn't have good friends to lean on...
I know that's why I enourage forming friendships with the children.
The best time to make a good trusted friend is well before you need them.

I most definitely agree that friends can be our best teachers, best listeners, and our most 'honest' critics. I would also add that there is much to learn from those who enter into our lives very briefly, students we've met in our classes or schools, our community agency workers, to name two. Many times, I recall them with smiles and when I have not smiled, most of the time all it takes is an attitude change - mine.

It's so true. In order for me to be a good friend I had to truly be open to friendship in the first place. I really does come from with in.
