Caution: May Contain Nuts

“Above all else: go out with a sense of humor. It is needed armor. Joy in one's heart and some laughter on one's lips is a sign that the person down deep has a pretty good grasp of life.”
~Hugh Sidey

I cried a lot when I was I kid. I cried so much I used to give myself a time limit and then simply decide to be cheerful after that……why did I cry…funny you should ask…I don’t much remember now- once I decided to be cheerful it didn’t much matter after that. Sunshine always seems to chase away the rain.
I was just a really emotional kid…quite, silent. I must have had a noisy silence about me because everyone seemed to notice me no matter how quiet I tried to be. You probably have seen these kids…
I really love to laugh. I suppose that is why I love being around children….
Perhaps that’s why humor works so well on people…
One little girl asked me, “Ms Barbra?”
“Yes?”
“You’re not THAT crazy, huh?”
“No. Not last time I checked.”

Barbara, your adorable. I can't imagine you as quiet. LOL. I can imagine you emotional because you bring happy emotions where ever you go. I think this is an interesting topic because many may wonder why kids cry and are emotional. As we grow up we gain emotional maturity...if we are taught that. Being aware of what emotions are and how feelings affect our moods are quite serious and being able to understand "I don't feel really great right now but I know if I talk about it I can feel better.

Keep up the good work.

I am still working on the "Dealing with Food Addiction Blog" and I think this topic is worth more discussion.

Warmly
Julie

I saw some of your posts on Facebook and you bring up an excellent point. There is a connection between emotional trama's in children and food regulation disorders. Working with at risk children and emotionally and medically frail children....we saw it often. It is so crucial in this day and age that we recognize that indulgence(in any form) does not replace love.
Thank you, Julie.
