Humorous Conversations From the Classroom in Early Childhood Education

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” ~Pablo Picasso

I have always loved to draw. I remember having wonderful as well as trying experiences with adults and art in my childhood.
I would occasionally challenge my teachers, but there was always someone else in the group that would as well.
Here is one incident that happened in Kindergarten.
The assignment was to draw someone you knew. As the crewed stick figures were being turned one spunky five-year-old was adding her finishing touches and was the very last one at the table.
“Excuse me,” the teacher said, “are you done?”
“Not yet.” She said adding glitter.
“Well, you really need to finish.” Explained the teacher a bit impatiently, “Who are you drawing?”
“God.” The kindergartener said not looking up from her picture.
“God? How can you draw God? No one even knows what He looks like!”
“Well they sure will when I’m done!” She said sprinkling more gold glitter.
